Young-Davidson Mine, located in Matachewan, Ontario, approximately 60 km west of Kirkland Lake is hiring an experienced Chief Mine Geologist. More information on Alamos Gold Inc. and the Young-Davidson Mine can be found on our website at www.alamosgold.com Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Chief Mine Geologist will be responsible for managing all geological information relating to resource delineation and grade control in the production of an 8500 tpd underground gold mining operation. Key qualifications include: •B.Sc. in Geology or in Geological Engineering and either currently registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Geoscientist or Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. •A minimum of 10 years experience including 5 years at a senior level. •Strong interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills. •Experience with Vulcan, AutoCAD, or other mine modelling/planning software. •Strong organization and time management skills. •Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees. •Skilled in block modeling, mine to mill reconciliation and stope to reserve reconciliation.
