Wagner Ontario is Ontario's largest forest land management company with over 340,000 ha of private lands under management in the Thunder Bay and Hearst areas of Ontario. Wagner runs fully contracted harvesting operations. All timberlands are managed on a sustainable basis and certified under SFI. Our Hearst operation has an immediate opening for a full time Operations Forester reporting to the General Manager.
Regular duties include harvest planning, contractor supervision, quality control, liaison with customers, maintenance of Wagner's environmental certification program and compliance monitoring. Qualifications include forestry related post- secondary education, 5 to 10 years' experience in forest operations and a valid driver's licence. Bilingualism is an asset.
