The Timmins Family Health Team is seeking a dynamic individual to join our collaborative primary care team of Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Integrated Health Professionals. The Nurse Practitioner hired in this position will build a full primary care practice with a particular focus/specialty on complex and geriatric patients. Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Reference # 1603 - Full-Time Position Position Requirements: •Current CNO registration as an RN (EC) •BScN required, Master's preferred •Minimum 2+ years relevant clinical and health assessment experience as a registered nurse in the extended class •Practical experience caring for complex and geriatric patients in a primary care setting •Current CPR certification required •Demonstrated ability in problem solving using sound judgment and critical thinking •Demonstrated computer literacy is required to facilitate the use of electronic medical record •Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills •Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a busy multidisciplinary team •Current membership with the RNAO/NPAO •Evidence of liability insurance Other Requirements: •Fluency in English & French an asset •Current Driver's License Closing date is November 14, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. *Please see TFHT Website for job description at www.timminsfht.ca and click on "Careers" The Timmins Family Health Team is an equal opportunity employer.
