
The Timmins & District Hospital is currently accepting applications for a Temporary full-time Communications/Medical Administrative Coordinator Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer the Communication/Medical Administrative Coordinator will develop, implement and evaluate communication activities and will perform administrative duties related to the medical staff organization. •Skills and Knowledge Required: •University/College degree in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism; •Ability to assess and gain an understanding of the local communities and special interest groups; •Knowledge and understanding of current health care issues is an asset; •Experience managing websites and/or intranets, including writing and publishing content; •Excellent computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Publisher; •Demonstrated research ability; •Advanced writing, editing and proofreading skills. •Advanced organizational skills; •Ability to work independently in a busy environment with concurrent demands and tight deadlines. •Must possess the ability to provide effective services to clients/patients in both English and French.
